Graduating Class of 2020!
The Chapman Commencement weekend will be one you’ll remember for years to come. We’re excited to have all Chapman graduating students together on Wilson Field for the University Commencement Ceremony on Friday, May 22, 2020 at 7pm and for the Dodge College of Film and Media Arts Degree Ceremony on Sunday, May 24, 2020 at 11:30 am. These two ceremonies will honor your achievements and celebrate the work you have done in your time at Chapman University and within Dodge College.
University Commencement Ceremony, Friday, May 22, 2020, 7pm, Wilson Field.
- Celebrate with the entire Chapman & Dodge College graduating class
- Turning of the tassels as President Struppa officially confers degrees
- Keynote speaker – Nadia Murad, a Yazidi human rights activist, 2018 Nobel Peace Prize Laureate, and advocate for victims of sexual violence
- Collect your graduation medals to wear at the Dodge College Ceremony
- Celebratory toast
We strongly encourage all graduating students to attend the University Commencement Ceremony. The University Commencement Ceremony and Degree Ceremony RSVP are open on March 2. Online regalia ordering for bachelors and master graduates is live now.
May 8: Deadline to reserve guest tickets for the University Commencement Ceremony.
Dodge College of Film and Media Arts Degree Ceremony, Sunday, May 24 11:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m., Wilson Field.
April 15: RSVP deadline for all graduates to guarantee listing in printed materials.

Your photos from your time at Chapman University are displayed on the big screen for your family and friends to see. Please submit any photos you’d like included in this to Jon Hernandez at jonherna@chapman.edu by May 18th, 2020.
Stoles
For information on Dodge College stoles, please visit the Agora Gift Shop located in Argyros Forum where school/college stoles are sold. If you are interested in having your department name embroidered on the stole, please contact the following local establishment, Golden Stitch located in Orange.

Q: Who do I contact with questions about University Commencement Ceremony?

Q: What time will the Dodge College Degree Ceremony end?
A: The ceremony is scheduled to end at 1:00 p.m. but expect for it to run over by 10-15 minutes.
Q: How many people can I bring to University Commencement Ceremony? Dodge College Degree Ceremony?
A: Students who RSVP for the University Commencement Ceremony will be allotted 4 tickets for your guests. Tickets are not required for students. Two extra tickets can be requested but are not guaranteed. An email notification via Chapman email will be sent on May 13, 2020.
Dodge College Degree Ceremony is free and open to all guests and families of students. Guest tickets are not required for degree ceremonies and there is no limit on how many guests you may invite. Please note that seating is first-come, first served. Seating is in folding chairs on artificial turf. Once the ceremony begins, empty seats must be made available to accommodate guests without seats.
