We are excited to introduce a new award, the Lauren Kacura ’09 Spirit Award! The award was generously donated to Dodge College by the Kacura family to honor Lauren Kacura’s years at Dodge College. Not only was Lauren a dedicated student, front office worker and admissions tour guide, but she was a committed staff member for a decade! This is an award to honor a student with similar values to her own.

The award is given to a Dodge College student worker that goes above and beyond in their position as a student worker and in their studies. It is someone who exemplifies the Chapman University and Dodge College spirit in all that they do.

Congratulations to our first recipient, Tessa Germaine!

Tessa was nominated by faculty and staff based on her positive, vibrant spirit and her willingness to help others often going out of her way. Tessa has worked as an Event Assistant since the beginning of her sophomore year. When last-minute problems come her way, Tessa is always one step ahead of the game and manages to fix the problem without a hitch. She loves a challenge and is able to take on many projects at one time. Congratulations, Tessa!

Honorable mentions for this award also include Luca Rohr (Tour Guide and Admissions Office) and Andree Lin (Film Festival Office Student Worker) for their dedication and hard work within their individual roles!
