Dodge College Alumni Sell Hollywood Feature “The Babymakers”

Dodge College alumni have scored a major distribution deal for The Babymakers, making headlines in indie news circles.
Aaron Behl (’04) co-produced the film, Brian Swanson (’03) was an assistant editor, and Andrew Carter (’11) was the director’s assistant. Phillip Daniel (’04) and Wesley Freitas (’04) have featured acting roles. Kudos to the entire team!

Millennium Entertainment Acquires ‘The Babymakers’ for U.S.
The Jay Chandrasekhar-directed comedy had its world premiere at the SXSW Film Festival in March.
Millennium Entertainment has acquired U.S. rights to the Jay Chandrasekhar-directed comedy The Babymakers. The film, which had its world premiere at the SXSW Film Festival in March, will receive a July 3 release on Ultra VOD followed by a platform theatrical release July 27.Olivia Munn, Paul Schneider, Aisha Tyler, Kevin Heffernan, Wood Harris, Constance Zimmer, M.C. Gainey, Nat Faxon and Chandrasekhar star in the story of a man who recruits a group of friends to steal his old deposit from a sperm bank when he is unable to get his wife pregnant. Peter Gaulke and Gerry Swallow wrote the screenplay.
Jason Blum of Blumhouse, Brian Kavanaugh-Jones of Automatik and Chandrasekhar of Duck Attack produced. Alliance Films’ Charles Layton, IM Global’s Stuart Ford and Heffernan served as executive producers. Alliance and IM Global co-financed the movie.
