I recently found out about this hilarious, offbeat entry into the Doritos "Crash the Superbowl" contest.  It's Chapman made, hilarious, and has been selected as a top 5 finalist out of thousands!

Alumnus Justin Folk, who graduated in 2000, has put together some awesome works in the past, but there's something about this particular film that seems to be resonating with a wide swath of people.  His film is a top 5 finalist – meaning every single vote Dodge and Chapman can help him gather matters!

The contest, which Chapman students have participated in every year since I joined the team, rewards aspiring filmmakers with one of several huge prizes (most notably, cash!) and airtime during the final major league football game of the year.

Traditionally, the Superbowl is seen as prime advertising time by most major brands, primarily because it has such a high penetration in the American pop culture space, which of course reverberates around the world.  With airtime going for astronomically high sums, paid to the networks supporting the sporting event, it came as quite a shock to the social media community, when brands began opening up their closed-wall gardens to allow junior advertisers, creative videographers, and aspiring PR pros to craft material used to represent brands' images in this highly visible platform.

Take a few minutes to check out the video, and make sure to follow the "Sling Baby" commercial on Facebook or visit the website created just for this ad, to find out other ways you can support the artist and help get the message out!

There's even a Sling Baby game you can play to get in the spirit!

This year, they've opened up the platform a bit, making it more likely even more people will see some of the large cash bonuses.  Last year, we had several entries which placed very highly in the competition, and we're hoping to push this stellar entry across the finish line this time!
