Alexander Gaeta”s film Shoot the Moon won Best Student Film at the Beaufort Int”l Film Festival in South Carolina and Best Cinematography at the Dot Independent Film Festival at the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena.
The 51st Student Academy Awards were handed out in London, with three Olympic-style medal placements announced in the shorts categories of animations, live-action and documentary. Dodge alum Aaron Johnson ’24, received the Silver Award for his documentary short “The 17 Percent.”
Chapman University’s Dodge College of Film and Media Arts has secured the No. 4 spot in THE WRAP’s Top 50 film schools rankings. This is the college’s fifth year in a row at No. 4, a position it also holds in The Hollywood Reporter’s national rankings.
