Miguel Zavala, Ph.D., Associate Professor in the Attallah College of Educational Studies, is one of 10 researchers invited to participate in the National Science Foundations “Cultivating Political and Ethical Perspectives on Learning” research design group. This effort is led by Shirin Vossoughi (Northwestern University) and the initial meeting, scheduled for mid-January 2019 in Chicago, will bring together key scholars in education and the learning sciences to co-design innovative practices that integrate ethics, politics, and the investigation of learning environments.
The goal of the Cultivating Political and Ethical Perspectives on Learning Group is to co-design the collective vision, goals, and practices of a virtual learning laboratory. In January 2019, the group will be working on resonant questions related to politics and ethics in the learning sciences.
