Each year, numerous Attallah College of Educational Studies faculty, alumni, and students present interdisciplinary research at the AERA (American Educational Research Association) Annual Meeting, the premiere research conference in the field of education.

The 2019 AERA Annual Meeting will be held on April 5–9 in Toronto, Canada. Attallah College will also be hosting its annual AERA reception on Saturday, April 6, 2019 from 8–10 pm at the Sheraton Centre in Toronto Hotel.

The theme of this year’s AERA Meeting, “Leveraging Education Research in a ‘Post-Truth’ Era: Multimodal Narratives to Democratize Evidence,” aligns well with the research of Attallah College faculty and affiliates, who strive to share evidence-based narratives and support the whole-child approach to education, a movement defined by policy and practice to ensure that every student is healthy, safe, engaged, and challenged academically.

Margaret Grogan, Ph.D., dean of Attallah College, applauded the faculty, alumni, and students who are presenting at this year’s meeting.

“I’m really excited by the growing Chapman presence at AERA,” said Dean Grogan. “We will have several research presentations in Toronto, and I’m looking forward to hearing them all.”
