“ACCEPTANCE: A Step to Promote Awareness and Understanding of Autism”

The Leatherby Libraries hosted an impactful photographic exhibit and panel event titled, “ACCEPTANCE: A Step to Promote Awareness and Understanding of Autism.” The opening reception featured a discussion with Bernie Dickson (Exhibit Curator), Stephen Hinkle (Attallah College Ph.D. student and Autistic Self Advocate), and Dr. Amy Jane Griffiths (Attallah College Associate Professor & Licensed Psychologist). The panel, moderated by Dr. Meghan Cosier, Attallah College Professor & Executive Director of the Thompson Policy Institute on Disability, also included presentations by Dr. Amy E. Hurley-Hanson and Dr. Cristina M. Giannantonio, Professors of Management in the Argyros College of Business and Management. They discussed their co-authored book “Autism in the Workplace: Creating Positive Outcomes for Generation A.” Stay tuned for photos on our social media channels!
