Dr. Jared Izumi joined us for our Attallah College Research Lunch, sharing his current research involving VR and machine learning to assess students’ social-emotional learning through immersive virtual environments. Dr. Zack Maupin showcased his research during our luncheon and expanded upon his work examining school attendance problems. Dr. Maupin discussed the drastic impacts that students with school attendance problems face and the research he is conducting to identify appropriate assessment and intervention methods.
