Dean Roxanne Greitz Miller attended an Interstate Teacher Mobility Compact Review Meeting.

The Council of State Governments (CSG) is partnering with the Department of Defense (DoD) and the National Association of State Directors of Teacher Education and Certification (NASDTEC) to support the mobility of licensed teachers through the development of a new interstate compact. This compact will create reciprocity among participant states, and reduce the barriers to license portability and employment.

“Our society is more mobile now than ever before. As someone who relocated across the United States after receiving my teaching credential, I know personally how challenging the credential transfer process can be when moving to a new state. I am grateful for having been able to share with the Interstate leadership team the perspective of California teachers and our Chapman students, to make sure their needs are provided for, during this session,” said Dean Roxanne Greitz Miller.
