September 12, 2024
Dear Campus Community,
We want to inform you about an important update regarding Google Jamboard. Google has announced that it will be sunsetting Jamboard on December 31, 2024. This means that after this date, Jamboard will no longer be available for use.
What Does This Mean for You?
If you have any data stored in Jamboard, you will need to export or migrate it before the end of the year. Fortunately, Google has partnered with several whiteboard solutions to make this transition as smooth as possible. You can export or migrate your Jamboard data to one of the following Google Workspace partners: FigJam, Lucidspark, and Miro.
Why Choose Microsoft Whiteboard?
While there are several great options available, we highly recommend Microsoft Whiteboard as a replacement for Jamboard. Here are a few reasons why:
- Seamless Integration with Microsoft 365: Microsoft Whiteboard integrates effortlessly with other Microsoft 365 apps like Teams, OneNote, and Outlook, making it easier to collaborate and share your work.
- Real-Time Collaboration: With Microsoft Whiteboard, multiple users can work on the same board simultaneously, making it perfect for group projects and brainstorming sessions.
- Rich Features: Microsoft Whiteboard offers a variety of tools, such as sticky notes, text, shapes, and templates, to help you organize your ideas effectively.
