Professor Finley Publishes Article on CA Jury Policy
December 3, 2010
On December 3, 2010, The Los Angeles Daily Journal published communications director and adjunct professor David Finley’s article, entitled, “California’s Jury Policy Raises Serious Questions about Juror Privacy in the Courtroom.” The front page piece described potential problems with juror privacy, especially in criminal cases with self-represented defendants. Professor Finley’s concerns came to light during his recent experience as a juror sitting through voir dire, “when the prosecutor inadvertently mentioned the name of one of the prospective jurors.”
