Professor Rotunda, who is one of five appointed panel members for the state’s Fair Political Practices Commission, has been quoted in the Sacramento Bee for his criticisms of the Commission’s new chairwoman, Ann Ravel. Professor Rotunda said that Ravel is working to “help politicians who don’t like the FFPC regulations.” Furthermore, in response to Ravel’s handling of several major issues placed before the commission, Rotunda stated, “They say that not even the devil knoweth the mind of man, so I don’t presume to know what is her intent … (but) I know she acts like someone who wants to deconstruct a good chunk of the FPPC.” Read more of what Professor Rotunda had to say, as well as chairwoman Ann Ravel’s response.
