Doti Named Outstanding Professor of the Year
April 23, 2012
The new M. Katherine Baird Darmer Outstanding Professor of the Year Award was presented to Professor Doti by SBA President Samantha Bigonger.
In honor of the late Professor Darmer, who was beloved by the students and was an excellent classroom teacher, the Student Bar Association voted to rename the professor of the year award. Alumna Tiffany Chang gave introductory remarks at the En Banc, remembering Professor Darmer and officially announcing the renaming of the award.
Professor Doti was selected by the student body as professor of the year. He is the William P. Foley II Chair in Corporate Law and Taxation. Professor Doti founded and directs Chapman’s Tax Law Emphasis program, one of the top 25 tax law programs nationally. The classes that he teaches include Contracts, Estate and Gift Taxation and Federal Income Tax. Congratulation to Professor Doti!
