Chapman Law is pleased to partner with the College of Educational Studies for a two-day Emerging Scholars Conference focusing on bullying in society. Taking place September 28 and 29, this event will feature prominent speakers such as the Dean of Texas Tech University School of Law, Darby Dickerson and Lt. Dan Choi.

Lt. Dan Choi has announced that his talk is dedicated to Katherine Darmer, a Chapman Law professor who passed away in February, 2012. Professor Darmer bravely dedicated her life to ending discrimination and bias on the basis of sex and sexual orientation. Additionally, Professor Darmer was a founding board member and Chair of the Legal Team of the Orange County Equality Coalition. Her students, staff and faculty colleagues remember her as a passionate advocate for marriage equality.
