Chapman University’s School of Law has hired Karman Hsu as the Assistant Dean of Admissions and Diversity Initiatives. In this role, her primary responsibilities are admissions initiatives as they relate to the promotion of Chapman Law and enrollment of students with a strong sense of integrity. Her first day was November 5, 2012.

“We are delighted to welcome Karman to Chapman,” said Tom Campbell, dean of Chapman’s School of Law. Ms. Hsu joins Chapman with more than 10 years of law school admissions experience. She began her law admissions career at Syracuse Law, followed by nine years at UCLA School of Law where she was Director of Admissions.

“I am thrilled to join Chapman Law’s dynamic and engaging community,” said Ms. Hsu. “Chapman’s Law School is known for its strong sense of integrity and supportive academic environment. I am looking forward to working with the Chapman Law family in promoting the ethical and creative learning environment we have here at the Law School.”

Ms. Hsu earned her J.D. from Syracuse University College of Law and her B.A. from the University of California, Irvine. While at Syracuse Law she was a member of the Academic Standards Committee and earned a Master of Arts degree in Sociology.
