Professor Ronald Rotunda Gives Speech at the Federal University of Brazil

Professor Ronald Rotunda recently visited the Federal University of Brazil to give a speech on The Right of Dissent When the Nation is at War. The university is the largest in Brazil and boasts its own Center of Legal & Economic Sciences as well as its reputation for exemplary teaching and research.
Justice (“Minister” in Brazil) Gilmar Ferreira Mendes from Rio de Janeiro met with Rotunda and accepted a copy of Rotunda’s six-volume Rotunda & Nowak, Treatise on Constitutional Law (5th ed. 2013). Justice Mendes is a Brazilian Justice of the Supremo Tribunal Federal, or the Brazilian Supreme Federal Court. The treatise volumes focus on the U.S. Supreme Court and provide the “political, historical, and economic background of court decisions,” according to Thomson Reuters.
