On Monday, November 17, a three judge panel from the California Court of Appeal, Fourth District, Division Three, will hold oral argument in the state-of-the-art Appellate Courtroom at Fowler School of Law on several criminal law matters currently before the court. Holding this public hearing is a wonderful honor and a great opportunity for our students.

The panel will be comprised of
Presiding Justice Kathleen E. O’Leary
,
Justice Richard D. Fybel
and
Justice Richard M. Aronson
, all of whom are adjunct professors at the law school.

The proceedings will begin promptly at 1:30 p.m. in the Appellate Courtroom on the second floor of Kennedy Hall. A break will be taken at approximately 2:30 p.m. Students are strongly encouraged to enter and exit only during breaks out of respect for the court and to minimize disruptions.

Students will be required to pass through a metal detector to gain admittance to the courtroom. No backpacks or large purses will be allowed. We suggest only bringing pen and paper into the courtroom. Please observe proper courtroom decorum. Photographs and audiotaping is prohibited. Business casual or business attire is expected.
