Fowler School of Law Competition Teams Finish Semester with Fourth Regional Title

Chapman University Dale E. Fowler School of Law competition teams added another regional title last weekend to their impressive list of accomplishments, bringing the number of national finals on the horizon for next semester to four.
At the American Bar Association Labor Law Trial Advocacy regional competition in Santa Monica, teams Elise Levy (JD ’16), Julia Pavel (JD ’16), Breanne Reese (JD ’16) and Kristin Hayes (JD ’17); and Joshua Allton (JD ’17), Caitlin Ramsey (JD ’17), William Bgdoian (JD ’17) and Jennifer Young (JD ’17) competed against West Coast law schools for a chance at the national finals in New Orleans. Elise, Julia, Kristin and Breanne beat Pepperdine Law School to take first place and will head to the national finals in January.
This is the fourth regional competition this semester that our teams have won, marking an exceptional semester, said Professor and Director of Competition Teams Nancy Schultz.
Also competing were two teams at the regional American Bar Association Arbitration Competition: Alexander Koehler (JD ’16), Shane Micheil (JD ’16), Marcus Sweetser (JD ’16) and Lauren Murray (JD ’16); and Michael Lowell (JD ’16), Jim Nguyen (JD ’16), Cristina Nolan (JD ’17) and Rachel Greenberg (JD ’16). Both teams made it into the semifinal round.
