Chapman Alumni Are Well-Represented on 2017 List of Rising Stars
June 22, 2017
Eighty-seven Chapman University Dale E. Fowler School of Law alumni have been named to Super Lawyers magazine’s 2017 “Rising Stars” list. Three alumni have also been recognized as Super Lawyers by the publication: Kevin G. Liebeck (JD ’02) and Michael A. Penn (JD ’04) in Southern California and Jason Edward Ochs (JD ’04) for the Mountain State region.
Alumni Matthew Brady (JD ’06), Jeffrey Greenman (JD ’06), Aleksandra Hilvert (JD ’08), Bradford Kuhn (JD ’06), and Atticus Wegman (JD ’10) were named as the magazine’s Southern California “Up and Coming 100 Rising Stars” for 2017. Brady, Greenman, Kuhn, Wegman, and alumnus David Reid (JD ’09) also earned spots in the Orange County list of “Up and Coming 25 Rising Stars,” while Hilvert was included among Southern California’s “Up and Coming 50 Women Rising Stars.”
Super Lawyers magazine annually recognizes top young attorneys throughout the United States based upon a selection process that includes peer nominations and independent third party research. Just 2.5% of nominated Rising Stars and 5% of nominated Super Lawyers are selected. To be eligible for consideration as a Rising Star, candidates must be either 40 years old or younger, or in practice for ten years or less.
The Rising Stars list for Northern California and Super Lawyers from other regions will be announced in the coming months.
Congratulations to the following Fowler School of Law alumni on this prestigious recognition!
