Chapman Law welcomes new directors to Career Services Office and Darling Law Library

The Chapman University Dale E. Fowler School of Law is pleased to welcome two talented new members to its administrative staff.
Kristen O’Brien joined the Fowler School of Law in November as an Assistant Director of Career Services. O’Brien comes to Chapman from Lewis Brisbois, where she handled employment litigation and general liability matters. Before Lewis Brisbois, O’Brien worked at Kading Briggs LLP and Stradling Yocca Carlson & Rauth, P.C. as a litigator. She brings strong ties to the legal community, serving on her law school’s reunion committee and Orange County Bar Association committees. O’Brien graduated magna cum laude from UCLA with a B.A. in Business Economics and earned her JD from UCLA School of Law, where she also served as a writing advisor in the Lawyering Skills Clinical Program and volunteered in the law school’s El Centro Legal Clinics.
Janeen Williams recently joined the Fowler School of Law as Associate Director for Law Library Services. Williams brings a decade of knowledge to the position, having worked in both academic and government law libraries. Previously, she served as a Senior Legal Reference Librarian at the Law Library of Congress, performing complex and specialized research for congressional staff and federal agencies. Her experience includes serving as the Head of Reference and as the Educational Programs Librarian at Texas Tech University School of Law, in addition to positions at both Duke Law and North Carolina Central School of Law libraries. Williams is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (BSN and Master of Science in Library Science) and Mercer University School of Law (JD), where she was a member of the law review.
