Fowler School of Law Competition Team Takes Third in National Sports Law Negotiation Competition

Chapman University Dale E. Fowler School of Law started off the new academic year with impressive results at the National Sports Law Negotiation Competition in San Diego September 25-27. Fowler School of Law students made up three of the 40 total teams competing from across the nation with Jeff Farano

This marked the fourth year that Fowler School of Law teams have entered into the competition and the fourth time our students have made it to the final four. Fowler School of Law is the only school that can claim such an achievement.
“This competition is particularly brutal, with 90 percent of the teams cut after the preliminary rounds, so we are especially proud of having made the final round four years in a row,” said Fowler School of Law Professor and Director of Competitions and Alternative Dispute Resolution Program Nancy Schultz. “It is such a privilege to work with our students and watch them develop their lawyering skills.”
After entering the final round in fourth place, Jeff Farano and Ashley Daniel moved up one spot to finish third overall. Kyle Hindin and Jim Nguyen finished seventh, and Nick Lynes and Weston O’Connor tied for ninth.
