Chapman Professors Present at AALS Meeting

Numerous Chapman Law Professors were presenters at the American Association of Law Schools (AALS) Annual Meeting:
- Assistant Professor Deepa Badrinarayana was a speaker for the Sections on Environmental Law and Natural Resources Law on a Visit to Scripps Research Institute and the Scripps Institution of Oceanography Intersections of Science and Law: The Scripps Institution of Oceanography.
- Professor Daniel Bogart was a moderator and Professor Kurt Eggert a speaker for a session on “Securitization: Problems with Incentives and How to Cure Them” for a joint program of the Creditors’ and Debtors’ Rights and Real Estate Transactions Sections.
- Professor Katherine Darmer was a speaker and Assistant Professor Marisa Cianciarulo a moderator for a “Hot Topics” panel on “Proposition 8, Legal Challenges and The Future Of Marriage Between Same-Sex Couples.”
- Professor Kurt Eggert was invited as a speaker for the Aging and the Law Section on the topic “Consumer Protection Law and the Elderly: What’s New – What’s Needed, To Speak about Gambling and the Elderly.”
- Professor Hugh Hewitt was a speaker for the Mass Communication Law Section for a panel on the “Mass Speech of American Democracy: Getting What We Deserve?”
- Professor Henry Noyes was a speaker for the Litigation Section for a program on “E-Discovery: A Litigation Revolution?”
- Professor Robin Wellford Slocum was a poster presenter for Posters Sponsored by Section on Legal Writing, Reasoning and Research.
