Professor Ron Steiner’s latest article, “The Rise and Fall of the Miranda Warnings in Popular Culture,” will be published in the Cleveland State Law Review.  It follows the observation that Miranda warnings may not be as ubiquitous in popular culture as they were when the U.S. Supreme Court decided Dickerson v. United States in 2000, and demonstrates what will become of the Dickerson rationale once Miranda’s “television role has been left on the cutting room floor.” Read a copy of Professor Steiner’s article here, as well as a discussion on Crim Prof Blog here.
