Relief of Hugh and Hazel Darling on view in the library

Chapman University Dale E. Fowler School of Law welcomes you to join us for a special ceremony on June 13 to dedicate the naming of the Hugh & Hazel Darling Law Library, in honor of a generous gift from the Hugh & Hazel Darling Foundation.

The gift will endow the professorship of the law school’s Library Director and will include the placing of a bronze bust of Sir Winston Churchill on campus as an inspiration to our students. The bust will be unveiled at the Global Citizens Plaza on the Chapman University campus immediately after the unveiling of the new library name.

The Hugh and Hazel Darling Foundation has had a longstanding relationship with Fowler School of Law, and specifically the law library, for more than a decade. This most recent gift made by Hugh and Hazel Darling Foundation Trustee Rick Stack on behalf of the foundation will be combined with previous donations to total $5 million.

RSVP to the Office of Special Events at 714-744-7958 or events@chapman.edu.
