Digital Commons’ new ISSN!

ISSN is becoming an increasingly important identifier not just for traditional serials, but for continuing resources such as Chapman University Digital Commons. Thus, we are happy to report that our application to the Library of Congress has been approved, and we have been assigned a new ISSN: 2572-1496. This identifier will help prevent ambiguity with similar resources, become key in the linked data environment and the Semantic Web, and make us easier to find in Google, WorldCat, and the ISSN Register. It will also qualify Chapman University Digital Commons for inclusion in the ISSN International Centre’s free ROAD database of open access resources

Reorganization of Schmid College section of Chapman University Digital Commons

You may have noticed that we have done some minor restructuring to the Schmid College section of Digital Commons. This was done to better group the various article and book series for the college to better reflect its existing organizational structure. The permanent URLs for each item will remain the same, as will any usage statistics that have already been generated.

Thank you, as always, for contributing to all the great examples of Chapman research and creative work in Chapman University Digital Commons.  As we add more quality content like yours, our reach keeps growing.  Please continue to spread the word, and remember to send any new publications, data sets, teaching materials, or other content to the Coordinator of Scholarly Communication and Electronic Resources, Kristin Laughtin-Dunker, at laughtin@chapman.edu.
