March marks the time of Women’s History Month, a time to commemorate, observe, and celebrate women. This year, International Women’s Day was held on March 8, and in honor of both of these events I wanted to design a display that features a diverse group of women and promotes women’s empowerment. The display features a different variety of women’s identities, including Black, Latinx, Asian, Muslim, Jewish, and women with disabilities. Titles relate to specific women while also describing feminism as a whole in certain societies. Women have played a huge role in my own life. It is important that we empower, honor, and respect women not just in March, but every day for the remainder of our lives.

The display will be on the first floor of Leatherby Libraries throughout the month of March! Check out the bibliography of the display here: Women’s history month display bibliography 2019
