The Leatherby Libraries presents “Writing Data Management Plans for Grant Proposals Using DMPTool” an online workshop on Wednesday, December 6, 2023, from 2:00 – 2:45 p.m. Hosted by the Library’s Data Services Librarian, Andrew Greenman, this virtual workshop will cover the basics of writing Data Management Plans (DMPs) as well as how to use DMPTool as a resource to format, fill, and collaborate on DMPs.

DMPs outline the qualities of data that researchers will collect, how the data will be stored and protected, how and where the data will be shared, and who will be responsible for managing the data. By the end of 2025, all federal agencies that fund research will require a Data Management Plan (DMP) to accompany grant proposals for research funding. This workshop will introduce attendees to DMPTool as a resource to aid in completing DMPs.
