The Leatherby Libraries is excited to offer “Getting Started with EndNote” and “Getting Started with Zotero” to familiarize staff, faculty, and students with accessing reference software options. Zotero and EndNote support researchers, allowing them to quickly manage their references and citations for essays, reports, and articles.

Both workshops will have two sessions this month to accommodate interested participants. We recommend attending one session of each workshop to explore both reference software and understand which one will best support you on your research journey.

Getting Started with EndNote

This workshop will introduce participants to EndNote, which helps researchers manage bibliographies and references for their academic writing projects. EndNote allows researchers to develop, store, and format their reference materials in one place, simplifying their citation process. We will have two sessions for this in-person workshop.

Session 1: Thursday, September 12th, from 12:00 p.m. to 12:45 p.m. If you are interested in attending this workshop, you can RSVP here

Session 2: Thursday, September 19th, from 12:00 p.m. to 12:45 p.m. If you are interested in attending this workshop, you can RSVP here

Getting Started with Zotero

In this workshop, participants will gain hands-on experience with Zotero. This open-source software saves and formats reference materials into citations. This reference organization software will help make the reference curation process simpler and more efficient. We will have two sessions for this in-person workshop.

Session 1: Thursday, September 12th, from 3:00 p.m. to 3:45 p.m. If you are interested in attending this workshop, you can RSVP here

Session 2: Thursday, September 19th, from 3:00 p.m. to 3:45 p.m. If you are interested in attending this workshop, you can RSVP here

All workshops will take place in person in Library Instruction Room 305 on the third floor of the Leatherby Libraries. Participants are encouraged to bring their laptops to gain hands-on experience with the software on their preferred technology.

For any questions about either of these workshops, please contact the Reference Librarian, Ana Munandar, at munandar@chapman.edu.
