Read books & win prizes with Leatherby Libraries’ “Community of Readers” Faculty, staff, students and alumni earn prizes for each book read
May 31, 2016
Planning to do any beach reading this summer? Think you’ll use the downtime to catch up on classic novels – or even graphic novels? Join the Community of Readers and earn prizes as you read! The Leatherby Libraries has hosted Community of Readers for ten years now. The program is open to anyone with a Leatherby Libraries account – that includes faculty, staff, students and alumni.
The rules are simple: read a book from the Leatherby Libraries’ collection (search the library catalog to find an eligible book), then write a mini-review on the Community of Readers blog. These reviews can be short – only a couple of sentences. Each review enters you into the drawing for our mid-summer giveaway and the Grand Prize at the end of the program. You also earn prizes as you go – everything from travel mugs to famous author finger puppets. The more you read, the more you win!
The program runs from June 1 to August 18. Visit leatherbycommunity.blogspot.com for more information about the program. You’ll also find reading lists of suggested books from various genres, as well as reviews from past participants. Who knows, you may find your next summer read!
