Connect to Knowledge: Reuters NewsFilm for Education Reap the Rewards with these Resources

The Leatherby Libraries is pleased to offer access to Reuters NewsFilm for Education. This video archive includes everything from historical newsreels dating back to 1896 to current events from over 160 countries.
This database allows students to download and use clips in their own documentary and film productions! The usage must be non-commercial and credit must be given to “ScreenOcean/Reuters Education”. Please see the full terms of use for more details.
To access Reuters NewsFilm for Education, please follow these steps:
- Go to the library’s link, https://libguides.chapman.edu/reuters_newsfilm.
- On the right hand of the screen, select “Chapman University” from the list of institutions.
- Log in with your Chapman credentials.
- Explore!
Once logged in, you can begin creating collections of videos that can remain private or be shared with others.
*Please note that there may be references within the database to purchasing or buying clips or spending credits, but have no fear – this resource is freely available for Chapman users, and you will not be charged.
