- Dr. Miao Zhang was awarded a R15 from National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke for over $434,000 for his study titled “Channelopathy of KCa2.3 and Zimmermann-Laband syndrome”.
- Dr. Young Woo Nam received a Career Development Award from the American Heart Association for his study titled “Structure-Function Studies of Cardiac KCa2.2 and KCa2.3 channels”. Dr. Surya Nauli, Dr. Miao Zhang, Dr. Keykavous Parang, and Dr. Nipavan Chiamvimonvat will serve as his mentors.

- Dr. Jeff Goad was awarded the Fellow of the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (FASHP).
- Dr. Kamaljit Kaur was invited to be part of “THINK TANK on Antibody Drug Conjugates & Bispecifics” by DAVA Oncology held in Victoria, Canada, which included ~ 60 oncologists, translational researchers, and biotech professionals.
- Dr. Keykavous Parang was promoted to Project Scientist Step III, Division of Nephrology and Hypertension in Department of Medicine at University of California, Irvine, School of Medicine.
- Dr. Rachita Sumbria has been invited by the National Institutes of Health and National Institute of Aging to present at a workshop on BBB transport in aging and Alzheimer’s disease in April: Blood-Brain Barrier Transport in Aging and Alzheimer’s Disease | National Institute on Aging (nih.gov)
