June 25, 2024
The Antimicrobial Stewardship Committee at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center has been awarded Gold status by the California Department of Public Health (CDPH), reserved for programs that demonstrate exemplary practices and have impactful community outcomes. Dr. Amy Kang, an Assistant Professor of Pharmacy Practice, secured this award as the co-chair of the committee at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center.
Dr. Kang’s work at her practice site, Harbor-UCLA Medical Center, is supported by Chapman University School of Pharmacy where we take pride in being committed to excellence in pharmacy. Dr. Kang’s integration of practice, research, and providing educational rotation sites through CUSP at Harbor-UCLA allows for both faculty and students to contribute to community health and professional practice.
The GOLD status is valid for three years, through May 31, 2027.
