Awards and Recognitions

  • Dr. Emmanuelle Schwartzman received the University of Southern California Alfred E. Mann School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences Alumni Excellence in Education Award during an awards ceremony on June 27th, 2025.
  • Dr. Sherry Yun Wang has been named the recipient of the “2025 AI in Research Award – AI Researcher of the Year” by Women in AI (WAI), a global nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing inclusive and ethical artificial intelligence that benefits society worldwide. 

Grants

Dr. Kamaljit Kaur and Dr. Sun Yang were awarded the CUSP Collaboration Award for their work as primary investigators on the study “Developing peptide-drug conjugates for targeted drug delivery of chemotherapy for melanoma treatment.”

Dr. Jerika Lam was a sub-award recipient of the 2025-2026 Gilead Sciences NOVA RFP for her work “Amplifying equitable access to oral and injectable pre-exposure prophylaxis through community pharmacies,” an award in the amount of $62,356.

Dr. Keykavous Parand and Dr. Sun Yang were awarded a grant in the amount o $415,500 for their work “Peptide-Doxorubicin Conjugates for Mitigating Cardiotoxicity and Overcoming Drug Resistance in Cancer.”
