The IRB committee recently updated the Guidelines for Recruitment of Research Participants to include a section on “Recruitment Using Electronic Media” This new section is more inclusive (e-mails, websites, listservs, etc.), does a better job of defining terms (or at least providing examples), and have concrete recommendations.
