Friday, October 2

Faculty Master Class featuring Marco Bisoffi, PhD: “Cancer Research: Thinking Outside the Tumor and Political Boundaries”
Time: 1:00 – 2:00 p.m.
Location: Doti Hall, Room 002
Learn more about Dr. Bisoffi’s work on the molecular analysis of tissues surrounding the tumor, as opposed to the tumor itself (hence the term “outside the tumor”) and explore the ongoing international effort to promote and progress cancer research.

Faculty Master Class featuring Christopher Kim, PhD: “Adventures in Environmental Geochemistry: Undergraduate Research as a Means for Transformative Learning”

Witness the beauty and wonder of physics in an accessible atmosphere from some of the most prestigious scientists in the world. The master class begins with a talk by Sir Michael Berry (Institute for Quantum Studies, Chapman University; University of Bristol, U.K.) An open dialogue form with Professor Yakir Aharonov and Chancellor Daniele Struppa will follow the presentation.
