Schmid College is pleased to announce the 2017-18 Schmid Student Leadership Council (SSLC)! The SSLC is a select group of Schmid College undergraduate and graduate students who serve as leaders and ambassadors for Schmid College of Science and Technology, as well as advisors to the Dean’s office and the faculty of Schmid College.
“This is an impressive group of students who are passionate, dedicated, and committed to the goals and excellence of the undergraduate and graduate programs in Schmid College of Science and Technology,” said Andrew Lyon, dean of Schmid College of Science and Technology.
You will see SSLC members representing Schmid College at various events such as new student orientations, Discover Chapman Day, Preview Day, Dean’s Advisory Council meetings, and community engagement events. They are also involved in fostering student connections within the Schmid College community. During the course of the year, the SSLC and Dean’s Leadership Cabinet, consisting on Schmid College associate and assistant deans, heads of faculty, program directors and dean’s office staff, also work as a team to accomplish goals for the college they define together.
