Irvine Scientific seeks senior-level students with practical experiences to fulfill internships within the R&D development and support group. Interns will conduct research under the direction and supervision of a Sr. Scientist with the goal of developing new or improved cell culture products or processes with common industry-used cell lines. The duties include: performing cell culture experiments and chemical/biological assays, analyzing data, supporting product development, preparing reports, and presenting findings to the group. Irvine Scientific strongly prefers applicants with the following experiences/characteristics: basic laboratory procedures, knowledge of mammalian cell culture, effective communication skills and a collaborative attitude. This internship program provides students the opportunity to integrate their classroom knowledge with valuable applied experiences, make connections in professional fields, and contribute to the development of industry-leading cell culture products. Irvine Scientific is a worldwide leader in the innovation and production of cell culture media, reagents, and medical devices for both researchers and clinicians. With over 40 years of experience, the company provides exceptional service and quality products to the cell therapy, regenerative medicine, assisted reproductive technology, cytogenetics, and industrial cell culture fields. Recently, Irvine Scientific announced the addition of a 40,000 square foot purpose-built R&D center in Santa Ana (8 miles from Chapman).
