Q&A with Christian Jaureguy, Instructional Assistant Professor of

Q: What role were you in before this one?

A: I was an adjunct instructor first and then temporary full-time for two years.

Q: What are you looking forward to most this semester?

A:  I coauthored a DEI statistics course that was approved and I hope to get it on the catalog in Spring for its first time.

Q: What would you be doing if you weren’t a scientist?

A: There are couple things I would love to do if possible: professional athlete like a soccer player or perhaps a pelota player, a cultural sport that only really has pros in Spain and France. Also a professional dancer would great, I love dancing and then last a video game guide creator/streamer. My more analytical side loves finding every secret in games and would love to get paid to break things down for others.

Q: Got any fun facts to share?

A: I am very proud of my Basque heritage. I teach cultural dance and I am very involved in my community. My dance group has even performed for the Smithsonian in DC, on the National Mall!
