Chapman University is launching four new 20-passenger shuttle buses, which will ply routes between the main campus, the new Panther Village student housing complex on West Chapman Avenue near the I-5 and the Chapman buildings and offices on West Palm Avenue.

The shuttle service is free to all Chapman students, faculty and staff with current ID cards. The buses, emblazoned with the Chapman University logo and the Chapman colors of cardinal and gray, will soon become a familiar sight on the streets of Orange. The shuttles officially launch their routes on Monday, Aug. 26, the first day of fall classes.

“Thanks to these buses and the new Panther Village student complex, which is located 2-1/2 miles west of the main campus, we expect to see a reduction in student traffic and parking issues in Old Towne Orange and near the university,” said Jerry Price, Ph.D., Chapman vice chancellor and dean of students.
