This past weekend,
Wilkinson College
students, Emily Neis (History ’14) and David Wells (History ’14) took the top two undergraduate honors at the
Phi Alpha Theta
Southern California Regional Conference held at California Lutheran University in Thousand Oaks.

U.S. History Award – Emily Neis
“Conflicting Definitions of Relief: Life in Refugee Camps after the San Francisco Earthquake of 1906”
Chapman had 25 participants – the largest group at the conference.

World History Award – David Wells
“Les Elements de l’Empire: Cultural Construction and Civilization n 19

Century French Algeria”

Chapman had 25 participants at the conference, the largest group there! Both Emily and David will be graduating Summa Cum Laude in May and we can look forward to their papers being published in the next issues of Voces Novae.
