Aikido Buikukai SoCal Workshop
October 5, 2015
The Chapman Martial Arts Club hosted its first “Aikido Buikukai SoCal Workshop” on September 27th, with Egami Kenzo shihan, Official Representative of the Aikido Osaka Buikukai for the US, serving as lead instructor.
The day-long workshop was a fun-filled success, with the opportunity for several lineages to come together and practice in a spirit of respect and friendship. Close to 30 participants, representing a diverse cross-section of aikidoka from Southern California, showed that no matter how much the wider Aikido community may vary in style, we certainly share what is essential in the art we all love.
“We are thankful to all of the participants, Egami shihan, and the staff of OC Aikikai for offering their beautiful dojo for the event,” said
Wilkinson Assistant Professor Andrea Molle
.
