Chapman Forensics takes gold at “Cool Off” tournament

With 21 colleges and universities, 47 rookie and novice debate entries, and 210 novice individual events, Chapman Forensics competed at the “Cool Off” tournament this past weekend at Saddleback College!!
They took 4 student competitors (Kevin Taucher, Jasmine Johnson, Shelby Stanton, and Carlos Marrow), 2 student judges (Tim Seavey and John Kelly), and 1 student assistant coach (Emily Aldana) to represent our team!
Their one novice parliamentary debate team with Kevin Taucher and Jasmine Johnson took gold!
For the first time performing their Prose Interpretation, Shelby Stanton took 2nd Place and Carlos Marrow took first place!
They had a 100% Team Break and a 100% Event Break!
Chapman Forensics left the tournament with a 1st PLACE SWEEPSTAKES AWARD FOR 4 YEAR UNIVERSITIES!
