We have some exciting news to share with you! You might have noticed some changes in the Discussions sections of Canvas, and we are excited to announce that these updates are part of a redesign to improve your experience.

For courses in the Fall 2024 term, you can already see the new Discussions redesign.

For courses in the Summer 2024 term, the Discussions redesign goes live on July 20, 2024.

What is changing?

To view some of the latest features and enhancements of the redesign, check out this two-page overview of the changes. Some of our favorite features include the Split View option for Discussions and the @Mentions for Discussions. Alternatively, you can watch a video that shows the new view.
