If you haven’t checked it out yet, you should! On it, you will find a link to a self-paced course called “Intro to AI Tools in Higher Education.”

In this fully online, asynchronous course, you will learn some of the basics about Artificial Intelligence tools, how to use them, and strategies to detect their use in your courses and beyond. By the end of this course, learners will be able to:

  • Describe what Artificial Intelligence (AI) means in simple terms
  • Identify various categories of common AI tools and how they can be applied by students, staff, and instructors in higher education.
  • Consider the application of AI to higher education from an equity-centered perspective
  • Identify and use common AI tools to generate content, such as text, images, and other types of content
  • Discover methods and software for detecting AI-generated images and text
  • Develop individualized policies related to the use of AI tools in courses or in your work.
