The Rise of AdrinaRose Media How AdrinaRose Movsesian '15 became a bold name in fashion entertainment
December 5, 2016
AdrinaRose, a 2015 Dodge College of Film and Media Arts graduate, has already made a bold name for herself in the fashion entertainment industry. As CEO, television host and creative director of AdrinaRose Media, she has bundled her passion for fashion and background in news media into a one-stop shop for all things beauty, fashion and entertainment.
AdrinaRose has contributed to CBS’s Entertainment Tonight, ABC 7’s On The Red Carpet, Icon House, Cornwell Casting, Unleash’d Magazine, Bask Magazine, the Ryan Seacrest Foundation and perhaps most notably, KTLA 5 as the channel’s fashion correspondent for the 2014 Critics’ Choice Movie Awards.
There’s no doubt that AdrinaRose’s firey determination and uber cheerful attitude secured her spot as a rising fashion blogger with a burgeoning following. Read on to see what else has helped shaped AdrinaRose and her career, including Chapman’s role in her success.
Chapman University: How have you reinvented yourself in the course of your career? Tell us about it.
AdrinaRose: I recently reinvented myself. My first website/company was AdrinaRose TV. In November I launched my new website/company, AdrinaRose Media. The change was a scary one for me as ARTV was my baby, but I could not be happier that I pushed myself. What started out as an entertainment website is now an editorial platform that inspires millennial women to live fashionably every day.
CU: Tell me about your career – what are your days like?
AR: AdrinaRose Media is a West Coast-based lifestyle hub for fashionable, millennial women that covers fashion, travel, fitness, celebrity and events. Home to the popular weekly web series, Fashion Talk with AdrinaRose, the company also functions as a full-service, multi-media production and content house, working with brands to fulfill their video marketing and influencer content needs.
Every day is different for me. I have at least one shoot a week for my show, Fashion Talk, meetings with my advertisers, events to attend, and of course editorial meetings with my fabulous Chapman interns.
CU: What insight do you have to offer current students and alumni who are searching for employment?
AR: My advice for current students and alumni seeking employment would be to utilize all of their contacts, present the best version of themselves and be confident.
CU: What advice do you have for current students who want to make the most out of their time at Chapman?
AR: My advice for current students who want to make the most out of their time at Chapman is pretty simple. Get involved and say yes to everything.
CU: Which Chapman faculty member(s) made the greatest impact on you and how?
AR: The Chapman faculty members that made the biggest impact on me would definitely have to be Ann Owens and Janell Shearer. Ann really gave me the confidence to own my work by teaching me the fundamentals of news writing. Janell pushed me throughout my time at Chapman to work towards my goals, while always keeping me on track.
CU: How has your Chapman degree helped you?
AR: My degree has really helped me throughout my whole career. The Chapman community spreads throughout Southern California and beyond. Whenever someone hears that I am a Chapman grad, an instant smile spreads across his or her face.
CU: How were you involved on campus during your time as a Chapman student?
AR: During my time at Chapman I was a member of Delta Delta Delta. I also was involved in Chapman News as a reporter and entertainment producer.
CU: What is your favorite Chapman memory?
AR: My favorite Chapman memory would have to be the first time I stepped on campus during my tour. I immediately knew this was the school for me. I vividly remember music playing throughout the piazza and people everywhere, the whole campus was buzzing.
CU: What was your favorite spot on campus as a student?
AR: My favorite spot on campus would have to be Argyros Forum. It is always full of people, it’s sort of like the family room of Chapman.
CU: Have you been involved with Chapman since graduating?
AR: I’ve been involved with Chapman since graduation by attending Chappy Hours, having a booth at the internship fair, and of course by hiring Chapman interns.
