Chapman Court: New Residence Hall Opens in Anaheim
December 4, 2024
This fall, a new residential opportunity opened for students returning to Chapman, offering the independence of off-campus living while still maintaining a close connection to the campus community.
Chapman Court, located just three miles from campus in the heart of the Platinum Triangle, offers students newly-outfitted, apartment-style accommodations in a vital urban area, complete with nearby restaurants and entertainment venues. The building is packed with amenities designed to attract student residents, including an outdoor pool and Jacuzzi, a courtyard with a fireplace and barbeque area, a two-story fitness center, a clubhouse, study rooms and a parking garage with gated access. Each furnished apartment houses two or three students in private bedrooms, multiple bathrooms, full kitchens, and a washer and dryer.
The building on State College Boulevard in Anaheim was purchased by the university in 2022 in order to provide more residential options for students. Free shuttle buses run between Chapman Court and campus throughout the day, reducing traffic and parking issues in the surrounding areas. “The campus residential experience is an important part of what makes the Chapman student community so meaningful,” said Harold Hewitt, executive vice president and
chief operating officer. “These apartment style residences give students a chance to live independently without cutting them off from the campus community.”
Chapman Court is the university’s second residential facility in Anaheim. Chapman Grand opened in 2018 and houses approximately 900 students. Chapman has invested hundreds of millions in student housing over the past several years and is committed to housing 50% of undergraduate students in university housing.
