From the Office of the President:

We have recently learned that the Orange County Heath Care Agency (OCHCA) has extended the Orange County stay-at-home order for an additional 4 weeks. With this news, we will now need to begin the spring semester with remote instruction. This does not impact the current in-person instruction currently in progress at the Rinker campus, or limited in-person courses that are scheduled at the Orange campus.

This is disappointing news but we remain committed to opening for in-person instruction as soon as the state and local health agencies allow for it.

Additionally, this impacts those moving into Chapman Housing. OCHCA has been a valuable partner to us in our efforts to keep our Chapman campus and students healthy, and we believe it is prudent to respect their recommendation to delay move-in. Therefore, we will be postponing our spring semester move-in until the week of February 15. If this creates a burden for those with travel plans already finalized, I encourage you to contact the Office of Residence Life and First Year Experience.
