The Department of Theatre presents A Night of Noh Theatre in the Waltmar Theatre, February 13-15, 20-22, conceived and directed by associate professor Tamiko Washington.

The beauty of movement comes to life in this innovative and original adaptation of Japanese Noh Theatre, transformed on the stage using Tadashi Suzuki’s captivating movement style. Tamiko Washington is an associate professor in the Department of Theatre, specializing in voice and movement training for actors, as well as an associate teacher of Fitzmaurice Voicework®. Her twenty-one year history as an accomplished actor, voice, and movement teacher lead her to create a new approach to physical theatre called American Noh Theatre based on the traditional movements of Japanese Noh Theatre and Suzuki Master Tadashi Suzuki.
