Caroline DeStefano during her study abroad experience in India as a CU student

Beginning Spring 2020, The Center for Global Education (CGE) is happy to announce walk-in Global Education Advising for Crean College. Caroline DeStefano, the Global Education Advisor for health science, applied human physiology, and psychology majors, will be at Crean Hall to answer any questions regarding semester abroad programs, international internships, and faculty-led travel courses. Stay tuned for walk-in advising times this spring! Students can still walk-in for peer advising at the CGE or schedule a one-on-one appointment with Caroline. Walk-in hours at Crean are just an added convenience for students, simply by coming to them!

The course approval process for semester abroad programs will remain the same. The semester before departing, students will submit an Academic Planning Form to the CGE to request credit. Using a historical record of pre-approved courses, the CGE determines which courses need a department chair signature for approval. Students may be notified to pick-up their Academic Planning Form along with the foreign course syllabi, and then meet with their department chair for major or minor credit designation. Students return their form to the CGE and then will receive a final approval copy with notes from the Registrar.

If you have questions regarding this process, feel free to contact the CGE at globaled@chapman.edu.
